Marina Faryal Marri is from Karachi, Sindh. She was born on August 20, 1989, received her schooling from The City School, and eventually graduated from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute for Science and Technology in 2013. She studied Social Sciences and majored in International Relations. She received first division for Master of Arts in Political Science from Karachi University in 2015. She has been working at The Express Tribune as a journalist/sub-editor, the newspaper is affiliated with The International New York Times. Socially, Ms. Marri works for several causes, she runs seven non-for-profit, entirely free of charge schools in Sanghar, a city in interior Sindh. The seven branches of schools have enrolled almost a total of 300 students. Apart from this she is actively working for a gender empowerment program under the United Nations. |
