Mr. Sarfaraz Jamali belongs to the Hyderabad District of Sindh. He was born on June 01, 1988 and received his schooling from Oxford Public High School, Government Muslim College Hyderabad and later Qauid-e-Azam University Islamabad. Mr. Jamali completed his Gender Specialization Degree in 2012. Currently working with an NGO, IDARA-E-TALEEM-O-AGHAHI Islamabad. He is a young professional and socio-political activist working for political and social empowerment of marginalized community in Pakistan and especially for youth and gender. He has been working over the past five years to link youth with the mainstream socio-political processes in Pakistan. In 2010, he support with his friends and students of one of the leading university of Pakistan, Qauid-e-Azam University established the first ever Society for helping poor and needy students to complete their higher education through "Qauid-e-Azam University Welfare society". He is a also a Coordinator of Progressive Youth Forum (PYF) - a political forum of young men and woman of Pakistan striving to promote social democracy, secularism and pluralism by engaging youth in socio-political activism and processes and In 2013 General Elections of Pakistan PYF has developed a training module for enhancing voters' education and meaningful participation in the elections and also developed a module for local elections. He is also founding member of Social Democracy Youth Network and member of many other youth forums. He has expertise and experience in gender and governance, politics, gender and development and community development, Youth, Elections observation and Community Mobilization. He has also ample experience in field researches, data collection and training of communities and youth in different areas of Pakistan on said topics. Previously, he served prestigious organizations on multiple positions like National Rural Support Program (NRSP), Institute of Rural Management (IRM), Pattan Development Organization and Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). |
