| Brief Profile | |||
Ms. Ifrah Waqar was born in the city of Faisalabad, Punjab on September19,1991. Raised in Islamabad, she received her schooling from Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-10/2 and then later got a Master's degree in International Relations from the National Defence University, Islamabad. Ms. Waqar is currently working as a Research Associate at the Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies since April, 2014. She is currently working in the area of countering violent extremism from Pakistan. Ms. Waqar regularly contributes to newspapers and has a number of newspaper articles to her credit, she also co-authored a chapter in a book on FATA titled "Evolving Dynamics of FATA: Reflections on Transformations" published in 2014. She has participated as well as have organised various national and international conferences/seminars. |
