Ms. Meeran Jamal belongs to the Lahore District of Punjab. She was born on July 29, 1987. She received her Schooling from the Beaconhouse School System in Lahore. She earned a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree with double majors in Economics and Finance from the Lahore School of Economics. Later, she earned Masters of Sciences Degree in International Development Management from the University of Nottingham. Currently, she is working as the Youth Engagement Officer (YPO) Officer at United Nations Development Programme Pakistan, under the auspices of Pakistan's National Human Development Report Team 2015. During her academic life, she maintained an active participation in a number of forums; such as she actively participated in International Youth Conference & Festival, LSE Model united nation, Intra LSE Parliamentary Debate etc. She was the vice-captain of LSE girl's football team in 2011 and became a silver medalist holder for Women's, National Football tournament 2009 & 2010 and Silver medalist for Lahore School Sports Gala 2010.Apart from that, she was actively engaged in the canvassing for a political party in General 2013 elections and served as the polling agent in Lahore as well. In her professional career, previously, she has worked with national and international affiliates in trade and development field and served as the Relationship & Marketing Manager and Coordinator Planning Communication. Ms. Jamal has a strong passion for working on issues of national &international development, related to economic development, global partnerships, youth & women empowerment. |
