Ms. Purniya Awan belongs to city of Lahore in Punjab. She was born on January 31, 1990 and received her schooling from the York University in Toronto, where she graduated with an Honours B.A degree in Gender Studies. Later, she attended the University of Toronto and received 2 certificates in Women's Human Rights Education Institutes, one specializing in CEDAW, and the other specializing in International Humans Rights Law. Ms. Awan also holds a certificate in International Women's Health and Human Rights from Stanford University; a certificate in Global Health and Humanitarianism from University of Manchester, and a certificate with distinction in Global Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights from Lund University. Ms. Awan has been nominated as a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum and is currently working as a Research Associate for the Editorial Team at Courting the Law- Pakistan's 1st Legal News and Analysis Portal. |
