Ms. Momina Mindeel belongs to Okara, the capital city of the Okara District of Punjab Province. She was born on July 22, 1995 and received her early schooling from the District Public School and College, Okara. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science at the Lahore University of Management Sciences and is expected to graduate in June 2016. She was named the best English writer at the All Punjab Essay and Speech Competition, organized by the Chief Minister, in 2010. She is currently serving as the Treasurer for the only Journalism Society at LUMS, LUMS Daily Student. She works and writes for DAWN, Youlin Magazine and the Missing Slate. She has headed several journalism events including the recently held LUMS Journalism Festival. Earlier in 2015, she visited India for LUMS-OP Jindal conclave and presented LUMS at the cultural night as a singer. She is an aspiring Journalist and wants to pursue human rights Journalism. |
